The Blast is our performance freeride board. It offers blistering acceleration and a stable platform for speed and control over chop. Push as gentle or as hard as you want in the corners, the Blast responds immediately keeping the speed right through the gybe, with ease.
The individual cut-out design in the tail section improves speed and acceleration for a smoother ride in choppy conditions. A slightly longer and wider outline of the sizes 117 & 132 ensures early planing and fast consistent gybes. The smaller pulled in tail and nose results in better acceleration and top speed.
Due to the thin rails, the Blast LTD can be gybed aggressively in experienced hands but also feels easy for intermediate riders due to the wide tail. The narrower width (compared to equivalent freeride boards) supplies an increased level of efficiency.
The Blast LTD is built in our full PVC Biax Fibre technology for an optimized weight/stiffness/flex ratio and is available in four sizes: 100, 117, 132 and 147l.
All sizes are approved for foil use, which makes it the perfect crossover freeride board for Windsurfing and Wind Foiling.

Choose the Blast over the Gecko for:
The Blast rides with a more locked down feel than the Gecko and generally offers a higher level of performance. It accelerates faster, has a better top speed and offers more responsive gybing. The Gecko offers an even easier and more forgiving ride.
Choose the Blast over the Jag for:
The Blast requires less technique to reach its maximum potential and is designed to perform equally well with both rotational and cambered sails. The Blast is easier and less physical to sail than the Jag, with a very controlled, locked in ride and is more forgiving in the gybes.
