Fanatic launched the Cross board, a very successful crossover concept.

Fanatic launched the Falcon 99 – Thunder Tail – the first formula board with really deep and big cutouts. The Falcon dominated the racing scene for many years.

The first Fanatic prototype fully designed on a high end CAD system has been shaped on the CNC machine by Sebastian Wenzel.

The Hawk was the first Fanatic board to be mass produced from CAD design. Every single Fanatic board has been CAD designed since then and is archived in a data base.

Gollito Estredo wins his first PWA Freestyle World Title.

Victor Fernandez wins his 2nd PWA Wave World Title and Gollito Estredo his 7th PWA Freestyle World Title. Pierre Mortefon is again PWA Slalom Vice World Champion. Vincent Langer is IFCA Slalom World Champion.
